Limitless starring Bradley Cooper and Rober De Niro hit Theaters this past weekend and debuted at #1 at the box office. The film about a down on his luck writer who discovers a pill that let's him access his entire brain is an interesting action thriller.
I am a very big fan of films that deceive you with the trailer. I won't give anything away but the trailer does a very solid job at making you expect a different movie than what you get.
Bradley Cooper is great as the main character, Eddy. The creative filmmaking makes the film exciting to watch and like it is constantly moving. It is definitely appropriate for anyone with a case of ADHD.
The film only suffers from a few flaws. The script at times is a bit muddled and a lot of judgements are rushed to without explanation of the character's motives. There is one dramatic chase scene that cultivates in the most ridiculous move by a character I have ever seen. I was laughing out loud when I shouldn't have been.
BUT for what it is, Limitless is entertaining, fast paced, and entirely thought provoking. When you leave the theater you really find yourself asking would you take the drug. You will have to see it and answer that question for yourself.
Nathan Star Rating- 3 stars
